Job Description:    Box Office Assistant

Wage Rate:              $12.00 per hour | Candidates must be eligible for EI

Duration of Job:     April 16th – July 6th, 2018

Reporting to the Office & Ticketing Manager and the Festival Manager, this is a full-time, temporary role based in the festival office in Charlottetown. The primary responsibilities of the role are organizational and customer-related tasks relating to the 2018 PEI Mutual Festival of Small Halls. This will include but is not limited to:

  • Orientation to the organization and the roles and responsibilities of the position
  • Continued education on the role through job shadowing and teamwork
  • Daily reception duties
  • Handling customer questions and requests
  • Providing courteous customer service
  • Assisting Office & Ticketing Manager with box office and hall ticket sales coordination
  • Manage ticket sales databases as directed by Office & Ticketing Manager
  • Liaise with office staff re: coordination of hall tickets, sponsor ticket requirements, staff ticketing, artist tickets, etc.
  • Website database entry
  • Assist in management of all equipment and supplies in Festival Office.
  • Assist Office & Ticket Manager and Festival Manager in hall correspondence, contracting, and show calendar
  • All other tasks as required to assist Office & Ticketing Manager in the execution of the 2018 event and the smooth operation of all office equipment and physical office surroundings.
  • Working primarily in the box office during the festival from June 10th-23rd
  • Assist in daily event preparation
  • Assist in writing of the Final Report

Job Description:    Marketing Coordinator

Wage Rate:              $12.00 per hour | Candidates must be eligible for EI

Duration of Job:     12 weeks beginning April 16th, 2018

Reporting to the Office & Ticketing Manager and the Festival Manager, this is a full-time, temporary role based in the festival office in Charlottetown. The primary responsibilities of the role are promotional and social media marketing tasks relating to the 2018 Festival of Small Halls. This will include but is not limited to:

  • Orientation to the organization and the roles and responsibilities of the position
  • Continued education on the role through job shadowing and teamwork
  • Implement marketing program tasks
  • Work with design agency to create marketing graphics
  • Act as liaison between the festival and advertising outlets
  • Work with Sponsorship team to coordinate signage and banner placement logistics
  • Work with Office & Ticketing Manager and Festival Manager to highlight specific artists and events surrounding the festival
  • Write and distribute press releases
  • Coordinate media relations
  • Oversee website and social media campaign
  • Oversee photography and video needs
  • Develop and implement new guerrilla marketing initiatives
  • All other tasks as required to assist festival staff in the execution of the 2018 festival events
  • Maintain social media platforms and marketing communications throughout festival events
  • Assist in writing Final Report

The preferred candidate:

  • Has previous experience and/or education in marketing and communications
  • Is creative and intuitive
  • Is a quick learner
  • Works well in a fast-paced environment

Job Description:    Sponsorship & Logistics Coordinator

Wage Rate:              $12.00 per hour | Candidates must be post-secondary students

Duration of Job:     11 weeks beginning April 23rd, 2018

Reporting to the Festival Manager, this is a full-time, temporary role based in the festival office in Charlottetown. The primary responsibilities of the role are administrative and organizational tasks relating to the 2018 Festival of Small Halls. This will include but is not limited to:

  • Orientation to the organization and the roles and responsibilities of the position
  • Continued education on the role through job shadowing and teamwork
  • Assist with Sponsorship activation
    • Responsible for appropriate sponsor representation at festival events
    • Responsible for organizing sponsor reception
    • Act as a liaison between Sponsors and Festival
  • Assist with website development and content updates
  • Will possibly be called upon to work on-site in the festival office reception area when required by Office & Ticketing Manager during high traffic times
  • All other tasks as required to assist festival staff in the execution of the 2018 festival events
  • Assist in daily event preparation
  • Assist in the downsizing of the office and storing of all equipment after event is over
  • Assist in writing of Final Report

Job Description:    Festival Assistant

Wage Rate:              $12.00 per hour | Candidates must be post-secondary students

Duration of Job:     11 weeks beginning April 23rd, 2018

Reporting to the Festival Manager, this is a full-time, temporary role based in the festival office in Charlottetown. The primary responsibilities of the role are administrative and organizational tasks relating to the 2018 Festival of Small Halls. This will include but is not limited to:

  • Orientation to the organization and the roles and responsibilities of the position
  • Continued education on the role through job shadowing and teamwork
  • Assisting the Marketing team with various tasks, such as:
    • Social media marketing ideas
    • Graphic design and creative
    • Writing marketing content
  • Assist in developing and updating website content
  • Assist Artistic Director and Volunteer & Transportation Coordinator with artist relations tasks such as:
    • Communicating information to festival artists
    • Organizing artist and event promotional material
    • Putting together welcome packages for artists
  • Will possibly be called upon to work on-site in the festival office reception area when required by Office & Ticketing Manager during high traffic times
  • All other tasks as required to assist festival staff in the execution of the 2018 festival events
  • Assist in daily event preparation
  • Assist in writing of Final Report
