Geneviève Ouellette began step-dancing at the age of five. From 1997 to 2002 she was a member of the Acadian dance troupe Talididanse, directed by Monic Gallant. Talididanse performed their beautifully choreographed reels, stratspeys and jigs in numerous festivals: Chéticamp, Cape Breton; les Iles de la Madeleine; La Virée in Gaspésie (where they opened the show to Vishten) and across P.E.I. Geneviève’s favorite dances are jigs, “danses assises” and Acapella numbers - where the rhythmic beat of her steps acts as a percussion number. She recently performed in the 10th annual Gala des Eloizes. |
